-> Men have Sex, Women make Love - Part 1
To say that men have sex and women make love might sound quite macho-orientated in these times when both are free to express their sexuality. Nevertheless, our reality comes to show that is exactly what still en vogue, because sex and sexuality don’t depend only on the here and now, but as to how were people brought up sexual-wise.
Boys and girls are brought up by different approaches towards their sexual roles. To the boys is taught that they must be tough, womanizers, in that they’d keep many dates on the go, so that as soon as they spring into puberty are supposed to begin their sexual experiences. To the girls is taught to be reassuring, delicate, knowingly how to wait for their”prince charming” and so-fend for themselves over loosing their virginity to any Harry, Dick and Tom.
It doesn’t have to be passed on to the child, or being given away by the manner how father and mother relate to one another and get along with others, moreover come out in their way of approaching siblings from different genders, as in more slack is given to the boys than the girls.
The children can read into grown up talk and figure it out by themselves. It goes without saying that children are highly perceptive and always aware of every single hint dropped by the grownups.
Sex-related curiosity means normal too, even for toddlers. By the time they realize that the genital apparatus in boys and girls is different, they begin to ask themselves about it and tend to run questions by the adults for catching up with such discrepancy. And the grownups, usually give inadequate answers, heightening the boys’ penis and undermining the girls’, or perhaps, could say that the child is too young to learn the difference, setting free the fantasy of both sexes, from then on, each one may rely on individuals from their same sex while setting sexual roles apart.
About teenage the discrepancy gap gets widen. The male teen gets invited to talk about sex, manhood, sexual background. In certain cultures, might be led by an adult into trying to have sex with some woman. If a teen masturbates, everybody pokes fun out of it and even encourages it, by claiming that this way he’s gearing up into curbing any slip in front of a woman. If a boy aged eighteen roughly hasn’t got a single sexual relation, his parents would grow concern over his gayness likelihood or some lagging body part of him.
Yet the female teens are undermined in all sorts of manners. Never they talk about sex with elder people, incidentally, aren’t allowed to go out at night, since their virginity is at stake. Most teens barely hint the hypothesis of masturbation, once someone might learn about it and that means wrongdoing. Among friends gets hardly mentioned, and if so would be about their hang-ups pertaining the first sexual relation rather than issues like orgasm, masturbation and sexual attraction. If they happened to loose virginity early, are deemed promiscuous, if done late, are good girls.
