-> The Teen Dating Violence is More Common Than You Think
There's come a time when teens
dating urges with same age peers
comprise relationship. The teen
dating can be good for them
if they are prepared for it.
Parents shall help by talking
to them about social relations
and sexual education to prevent
further problems. In the United
States alone, about 10 percent
of teenage girls become pregnant
before their 20's, according
to Planned Parenthood, and 38
percent of date rape victims
are girls of 14 to 17, as said
by the U.S. General Attorney.
Sometimes, it's difficult to
recognize when a teenager is
being victim of dating violence.
Some of the early signals that
a relationship can become violent
are unexplained injuries and
verbal abuse by the partner
? such as name-calling. Another
telltale behavior that something
is wrong being when the teen
gives up important assets such
as friendship, family time ,
activities, school and other
interests, by fear parental
backlash, or when one of them
abuse other people, animals,
or things.
Often hidden the teen violence
because of so-wanted independence
from parent overseen. Pressured
by their boyfriends or girlfriends
to have dating, relationships
or inexperienced in that romanticized
views of love. Patronizing ,
possessiveness and jealously
are signals of abuse as well
as physical violence and guilty-kicks
from willingness for spending
time with friends. Maybe, teenagers
can mix up romantic relationship
with all so far described but
are wrong about it. It's important
that teens disclose what takes
place with them to teachers,
older friend or parents.
Parent's reassurance bears
role model for teens, as parents
need to show how to compromise.
They must talk with teens about
danger signs and tell them to
hear their inner voice, saying
no whenever feeling uncomfortable.
Talking about sex with teens,
telling them about sexually
transmitted diseases and ways
of contraception is significant.
Also important is teens making
plans along with dates and telling
parents about it.
